The Patrol Division is divided into three districts in order to be able to responds to the needs of the citizens in a more efficient manner. Each district has a Lieutenant which oversees all patrol operations for that district. In addition there is a First Sergeant that assigned to each shift that oversee all patrol operations county wide for that particular shift.
The Three Districts are:
Adam District (Western Lincoln County)
Adam District covers an area of 132 square miles with a population of 22,935 people.
The Adam District Office is located approximately 6 miles west of Lincolnton at 3606 West Highway 27. The office is located in the west end of the Howard's Creek Fire Department and provides a convenient place for citizens to meet with officers to file reports. The satellite office is not generally manned and there may not be anyone there if you arrive unexpectedly. If you need to meet an officer, please call the Communications Center at 704-735-8202 (non-emergency) and they will notify the closest deputy.
Adam District is led by: Lieutenant Allen Manns
Baker District covers an area of 102 square miles with a population on 37,919 people.
Baker District office is located inside the Harven A. Crouse Law Enforcement Center located at 700 John Howell Memorial Drive in Lincolnton, NC. This is the main facility for the sheriff’s office. The Baker Office is manned during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 8am-5pm excluding holidays). If you need to meet with an officer after hours please call the Communications Center at 704-735-8202 (non-emergency) and they will notify the closest deputy.
Baker District is led by: Lieutenant Justin Frye
Charlie District (Eastern Lincoln County)
Charlie District patrols an area of 73 square miles with a population of 26,546 people. In addition Charlie district is also responsible for the patrol of Lake Norman.
The Charlie District office is located at 1889 N NC 16 directly across from Westport Baptist Church. This provides a centralized place for the officers working this district to do their paperwork and meet with citizens who need to file reports. This office is generally manned during normal working hours. But if you need to meet an officer after those hours, please call the Communications Center at 704-735-8202 (non-emergency) and they will notify the nearest deputy.
