The Special Operations division duties include the management of law enforcement personnel at special events that take place in Lincoln County.  These include Apple Festival, Denver Days, and church camp meetings.  In addition the special operations division also supervises and is a part of a county wide land search team that responds to situations of missing individuals.
With missing/lost persons being the responsibility of law enforcement in Lincoln County, Sheriff Bill Beam provides two trained officers, led by Trent Carpenter, to coordinate and manage this team. The team is a joint effort between law enforcement, Emergency Management, and local Fire Departments within Lincoln County.
Our mission is to provide qualified searchers to conduct planned search missions within Lincoln County in order to locate the Lost/Missing person in a timely manner.

The team has 30 members from the following Fire Departments; North 321, Pumpkin Center, East Lincoln, South Fork, and Howards Creek.
