Domestic Disturbance Leads to Stabbing

Lincolnton, NC – An overnight domestic dispute led to the stabbing of a man on Car Farm Road in Lincolnton,

Deputies were dispatched to the call at 349 Car Farm Road around 12:05 a.m. on June 28, 2017. While driving to the call Deputy Z. Kale was advised by the Lincoln County Communications Center that a knife had been used in the incident.

Deputy Kale arrived to find John Alford in a back bedroom of the residence suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. Mr. Alford told deputies he and Connie Lynn Morgan, 51, of 349 Car Farm Road, Lincolnton, NC, had been arguing over a truck with a blown motor and when he walked into the bedroom she stabbed him with a pocket knife.

Lincoln County EMS transported Alford to Caramont-Gaston where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Ms. Morgan was arrested and taken before a Lincoln County magistrate on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on a no hold bond. Morgan had a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court today (June 28, 2017) and bond was set at $1,000 secured.
